Coupled with Scott’s experience working in the public sector, he has many skills that would make him a valued employee. Scott learned the ropes quickly whilst completing a Kickstart placement at Humberside Police.
His responsibilities included:
- Ordering and tracking resources for the Training and Development Team
- Booking training for recruits and updating course attendance logs
- Basic computer-based office duties
- Data inputting and data cleansing
Whilst completing his work experience and working with his mentors at This-Ability he has evidenced competencies in the following areas:
- Confident use of Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel
- Good use of meeting resources such as Teams and Zoom
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Up-to-date solid knowledge of software packages such as JAWS and NVDA
Scott has a BTEC in Business Studies and a Level 2 Business Administration qualification, alongside this Scott, has a dry wit, which was very much enjoyed by his colleagues at Humberside Police.
