Resilience means to be able to recover quickly from difficult conditions, for example, not giving up when faced with a challenge. It is the ability to pick ourselves up, learn from the experience and keep moving forward. We must all deal with disappointment and setback but we can learn from these experiences.
Motivation means your reason for acting or behaving in a certain way. It is the reasoning behind our actions both personal and professional. We need to understand our own motivations for our actions and the motivation behind our short and long-term goals. Looking critically and realistically at the goals we set.
Over a period of 12-16 weeks young people will learn and be able to demonstrate all the skills needed in the world of work. These skills include self-management, business and customer awareness, teamwork, IT skills, problem solving and communication. We mentor each young person and full support is available throughout and beyond the programme.
